HIPAA Online: A “How-To” Guide for Your Medical Practice
On August 21, 1996, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) was signed into law. One part of the law, Administrative Simplification, was meant to reduce the costs and administrative burdens of the health care system by standardizing the electronic transmission of certain administrative and financial transactions. The American Academy of Pediatrics has teamed with leading experts and other medical specialty societies to develop detailed guidelines and easy-to-use toolkits that simplify implementation of the HIPAA Transactions, Privacy, and Security rules.

Three Need-To-Know Resources in One!

  • HIPAA Transactions and Code Sets Toolkit
